Me and my awesome crew at the last aid station at Superior 100.
I’m a married, Father of 2 sons, who lives at the centre of it all (well, North America at least, geographically, that is) in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
I’ve been a runner since High School, starting out with road 10k’s, triathlons and half-marathons. Eventually that increased to road marathons, and within the past 8 years my true love of trail ultras. In 2017, since I became officially “over the hill (40)”, I created my own Epic40 year which included many adventures. Most notably, I was able to complete the Superior Spring 50k, Voyageur 50 mile, and Superior Fall 100 mile, my first 100 mile finish. Turns out the epicness has continued into my 40s. In June 2018 I completed Bighorn 100 Miler, my second 100, and August 2019 featured the completion of the Canadian Death Race, a 125k adventure through the mountains surrounding Grande Cache, AB.
What fills my days? Nearly two years ago I began working at an amazing local, independently-owned running store, City Park Runners. And if you’ve seen the rest of this website, I’m also working at organizing some great trail and ultra events in Manitoba as well as coaching some athletes seeking some big ultra goals, which I’m super excited about.
